Absolutely not. Cultured pearls are alike natural pearls that grown within oysters.
Both natural pearl and cultured pearl begin with some strange object trap inside the oyster. Then the oyster starts to secrete the nacre layer. Over time the true pearl starts to form and later begin of harvest time.
Whereas artificial or imitation pearl do not involve the oysters on its process but are manufactured form various compounds.
