TYPE OF PEARL
It is created by nature and formed when a foreign object enters and settles inside the oyster. Its mantle tissue then forms a pearl sac by using calcium from water. The natural pearl consists of columnar aragonite and conchiolin to cover the irritant and create lustrous surface.
Due to the fact of natural pearls come in many uncontrolled shapes. Therefore, the cultured pearl has been developed by mankind to imitate this natural process at a later time.
